Concession Supervisor
SCOPE:
To plan, supervise and administer the Food & Beverage department, ensuring high quality service and products are delivered to the enjoyment of our guests.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Oversee the day-to-day s of the food & beverage operations, including but not limited to scheduling, maintenance, technical issues, point of sale equipment and process, inventory control, labour control, banquets, bar and kitchen.
- Develops and monitors Food & Beverage staff to ensure that they are delivering superior quality and service to customer.
- Coaches, motivates, develops all F&B staff to ensure high quality and consistency in F&B customer service and operations. Facilitates staff communications and training sessions.
- Development of marketing plans for Food & Beverage to help support the Annual Operating Plan. Participates with the General Manager in the preparation and implementation of short and long term strategic plans and goal setting.
- Ensure that Canlan Ice Sports policies and procedures, reporting systems, third party agreements, and applicable local acts and legislation are adhered to.
- Effective and efficient management, while taking a proactive approach in preventing customer and/or employee situations. Partner and participate with the facility management team ensuring smooth operation and strong customer service. Maintain ongoing communication with other departmental Supervisors, Managers, the Sales Department, Marketing and the General Manager.
- Develop the Annual Operating Plan with the assistance of the departmental Supervisors, Managers, the Sales Department, Marketing and the GM. Ensure achievement of developed revenue and expense goals and assist in achieving the financial objectives of the facility.
- Candidate must be able to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS / SPECIAL SKILLS:
Note: As a member of the facility Management Team, this position requires a police background check and clearance with respect to persons working with vulnerable persons.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- 2-3 years experience in a senior or supervisory role in Food and Beverage operations.
- Post Secondary university/college degree, preferably in Business/ Hospitality/Tourism Management.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Provincially recognized Food and Beverage certificates, as required (Food Safe, Serving it Right).
- Working knowledge of the Squirrel Point of Sale System an asset
