THE COMPANY

River Cree Resort and Casino is a full-service/state of the art hotel and entertainment establishment

located on the Enoch Nation (outside of Edmonton, Alberta).  You will be involved in creating a culture

based on outstanding customer service and customer loyalty. 

 

THE ROLE

The Dealer is expected to perform his/her duties in accordance with quality, service, and safety standards of the

River Cree Resort & Casino. The Dealer conducts gambling games while following all applicable rules and regulations.

The activities and authority of the Dealer is guided by the River Cree Resort & Casino Visions and Values.

• Conduct gambling games smoothly, legally, and according to casino rules.
• Exchange money for casino chips.
• Make sure players have placed bets before play begins.
• Announce winning numbers or colors.
• Compute payoffs and winning bets.
• Collect losing bets.
• Respond to questions about game rules and casino policies.
• Specific duties vary depending on game (Blackjack, Baccarat, Craps, Poker, and Roulette).

 

THE INDIVIDUAL

• Ensure the guest is being provided with superior customer service.

• Basic Mathematic skills required to determine winnings, losses, and game outcomes.
• Good Customer Service & Interpersonal Skills.
• Accurate – makes few mistakes.
• Manual dexterity required to handle cards smoothly.
• Good oral communication skills.
• Ability to concentrate for long periods of time.
• Good stress management skills.
• Has the ability to gain an AGLC Gaming Workers Licence
