First Nations
Built on the Enoch Nation, our Vision is to be recognized by the Enoch Cree and First Nations across North America as a committed and respected employer. Our commitment is to ensure every Enoch and First Nation member who is interested in working at the Resort has priority “first to hire” access, pre-employment training, and an ongoing means to reach their employment and career goals.
To succeed in this, we have created the Bearings project, a focal point for beginning and sustaining meaningful employment with a high level of job satisfaction for Enoch and First Nations people.
What is the Bearings Project?
By definition: Bearings is the awareness of one's position or situation relative to one's surroundings.
The Bearings Project is a Enoch/First Nations initiative that builds on the confidence and motivation of First Nations and Aboriginal members to excel in the employment opportunities made available by the River Cree Resort. Managed by a Bearings Manager, this project also assists all our Team members through building bridges of understanding by encouraging an exchange of information between our cultures.

Mission Statement
THE POWER OF CHOICE - OUR MISSION
The power to choose is our mission and belief.
The Bearings Project exists to make believers.
We measure success not in how many people are employed,
but in how many believers we help create to come forward and
take whatever first step is necessary for them to find their true bearings
from which to move forward from, succeed and continue succeeding.
