PURPOSE

The River Cree Resort and Casino, Alberta’s newest and most exciting entertainment destination is currently looking for a Food & Beverage Sales Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, we are looking for an outgoing, creative and detail-oriented person to work closely with our marketing and F&B teams to coordinate and capture all opportunities to grow business.

 

JOB SUMMARY

The primary focus of this position will be to work with outside clients to organize and coordinate a resort experience.  The successful applicant will liaise with vendors, sponsors, internal partners and on site staff to concept and project manage large scale events such as concerts, sporting events, galas, gaming events, etc.

    • Participate in strategic event planning and development of events calendar and entertainment strategy for Resort events (Includes coordination with multiple managers and departments).
    • Ability to communicate with Resort partners to coordinate select events.
    • Assist with the execution of all special event areas: invitation, RSVP lists as well as manage an events database.
    • Assist with the development of all related event collateral
    • Staff scheduling (including suppliers) for external events
    • Archive the execution of external events with written evaluations
    • Develop and Promote resort packages to outside parties
    • Answer Sage Restaurant reservations queries and make restaurant bookings.
 
 

THE INDIVIDUAL

Should have post secondary education and experience in the entertainment, gaming, or hotel industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.  Must have prior event and entertainment planning, booking, coordinating and supervisory experience and liaison with, and oversee contracted

    • Creative flair with an ability to entertain and create branded experiences
    • Knowledge and understanding of event planning principles
    • Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements
    • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range objectives/goals/strategies
    • Highest degree of organizational skills with ability to prioritize to meet deadlines.
    • Possess outstanding interpersonal communication skills and be proficient in communicating in verbal and written formats to effectively interface with guests, team members, negotiate contracts and the ability to work independently
    • Computer literate with proficiency in all Microsoft software including Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
    • Exceptional ability to adapt efficiently and effectively to a demanding and changing work environment including flexible hours, handle multiple tasks.
