THE ROLE

  • Ensure the guests are being provided with superior customer service
  • Assist the Slot Director reviewing required revenue and other financial operating information for Daily Managerial Reports
  • Assist the Slot Director in the timely preparation of all financial and operational documentation for the monthly reports
  • Develop and mentor the count team, as well as, the slot associates in areas pertaining to finance
  • Ensure all slot cage and count room operations are in compliance with AGLC Terms and Conditions
  • Monitor and report risk and safety concerns to ensure a safe environment for both associates and guests
  • When called upon be able to assume all roles and responsibilities of the Slot Shift Manager
  • Responsible for the daily execution of operational goals and objectives
  • Providing support and motivation to all slot positions
  • Ensure proper implementation of established procedures and controls for effective and secure cash flow
  • Assist in the execution of the slot associates entry to exit process for the department (recruitment, hiring, evaluations, etc…)
  • Support and communicate between all applicable departments associated with the Casino gaming floor
  • Responsible for the daily execution of operational goals and objectives providing input on ways to grow the business.
  • Provide feedback on departmental/resort events and initiatives from a guest perspective
  • Participate and assist in the implementation of action plans resulting from business plans, associate surveys, guest surveys, consultant feedback etc.
  • Gain an extensive knowledge of the Casino’s Resort Club
  • Monitoring quality in areas of the operation and continually looking for efficiencies within these areas ( The pull, Count Room, Slot Cage and Slot Floor)
  • Participate in meetings internal and external to our operation to gain consistency in communication and improve the overall guest experience within the resort
  • Ensuring that our operational goals are being met and our business philosophy is being incorporated
  • Being key performers in the area of customer retention and recovery process (resolution of guest incidents, complaints or concerns)
  • Ensure proper staff coverage to support the day-to-day operation of the Slot Cash Cages and Count Room.
  • Actively participates in the Scoring and Coaching of assigned programs
  • Maintain a AGLC gaming workers license
  • Uphold a team work appearance offering assistance where available or when requested
  • Ability to work under stress obtaining organizational skills in time management
  • Establishing procedures and controls for effective and secure cash flow ( i.e., float assignment, cash out reconciliation, etc…)
  • Maintaining Associate files
  • Inventory control
  • Assure casino assets are protected and promotes a positive team and customer service philosophy
  • Any other duties required

 

THE INDIVIDUAL

  • High school Diploma
  • Post secondary education a definite asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Power point and Excel
  • Must be able to register with AGLC if not currently registered
  • 2-3 years (minimum) in the casino/slot industry
  • 3-5 years (minimum) demonstrated casino supervisory/management experience
  • Casino financial accounting and back ground an asset
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Leadership- able to lead people in different position levels to reach departmental objectives
  • Adaptability- able to adapt to procedural changes when deemed necessary by house or AGLC guidelines
  • Problem Solving – Can decipher changes that need to be made to move the department/organization to its desired goals
