THE ROLE

Reporting to the Slot Director, the Slot Manager must report all operational exceptions/concerns to the Slot Director.  Promote and maintain the utmost integrity and the highest caliber of customer service and respect to all guests, associates, and AGLC personnel. The Slot Manager position is important in assisting the Slot Director in developing and facilitating initiatives to improve the overall operations in all areas of the business to ensure maximum profitability.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the guests are being provided with superior customer service
  • Develop and mentor the Slot Shift Manager
  • Providing support and motivation to all Slot Shift Managers
  • Ensure proper implementation of established procedures and controls for effective and secure cash flow
  • Ensure proper implementation of established policies and procedures pertaining to the Slot Floor and Slot Cage
  • Facilitate the execution of the slot associates ‘entry to exit’ process for the department (recruitment, hiring, evaluations, etc…)
  • Oversee all processes pertaining to the operation of the TITO redemption kiosks (NRT’s)
  • Ensure all slot operations are in compliance with AGLC Terms and Conditions
  • Monitor and report risk and safety concerns to ensure a safe environment for both associates and guests
  • Support and communicate between all applicable departments associated with the casino gaming floor
  • Oversee the daily execution of operational goals and objectives while developing plans on ways to grow the business increasing revenue opportunities
  • Analyze feedback on departmental/resort events and initiatives from a guest perspective and prepare and present plans to address concerns and improve profitability
  • Assist the Director with the development of action plans resulting from business plans, associate surveys, guest surveys, consultant feed back, etc.
  • Participate in the development of the Casino’s Resort Club program on behalf of slots
  • Developing plans based on associate feedback in all areas of the operation to continually improve efficiencies ( The pull, Count Room, Slot Cage and Slot Floor)
  • Participate and lead meetings internal and external to our operation to gain consistency in communication and improve the overall guest experience within the resort
  • Ensuring that our operational goals are being met and our business philosophy is being incorporated
  • Being a key performer in the area of customer retention and recovery when called upon by the Slot Shift Managers
  • Maintaining the department’s operational inventory while meeting outlined budget objectives
  • Assisting the Slot Director in the development of Business Plans and Budgets
  • Ensure proper staff coverage to support the day-to-day operation of the Slot Department
  • Other duties as required

 

THE INDIVIDUAL

  • High school Diploma
  • 5-7 years (minimum) in the casino/slot industry
  • 1-2 years (minimum) demonstrated experience as a Slot Attendant or Slot Cashier
  • Casino financial accounting and background an asset
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Power point and Excel
  • Must be able to register with AGLC if not currently registered
  • Introductory to accounting an asset
  • Able to lead people in different position levels to reach departmental objectives
  • Able to adapt to procedural changes when deemed necessary by house or AGLC guidelines
