Security Manager
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Director Security, the Security Manager will be responsible for creating and enforcing security department policy, scheduling, budgeting. He/she must be able to work closely with Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (‘AGLC’), law enforcement agencies, and other external stakeholders by demonstrating a broad understanding and knowledge of all security and other relevant technical disciplines.
JOB SUMMARY

- Coach and Mentor security staff including regular scheduled performance reviews.
- Act as a project leader on issues that impact security when they impact/involve multiple departments, products, and/or processes.
- Monitor and report on security status updates to Casino, Hotel and Ice rink management. Assists in leadership of larger/broader scope projects where security is involved,
- Develop action plans, establish targets for the security team, assign tasks to
team members, document entire processes and supervise assigned project team
members.
- Plans, examines, analyzes, evaluates and supervises River Cree Resort and Casino security operations, inclusive of company assets, employees, customer care and inventory.
- Participates in committee’s and implements industry standards and policies as they relate to Resort security. Represents River Cree Casino and Resort and participates in industry regulation and standards development initiatives.
- Evaluates all procedures, practices and precedents for accomplishing the Resorts activities and functions relative to security.
- Work with all relevant security agencies to assure the River Cree Resort and Casino is at the leading edge of all security related directives. Responsible for River Cree Resort and Casino security compliance and interaction.
- Develops and implements alternative methods for security operational improvement.
- Develops security operational efficiency and quality control programs.
- Performs audits of security performance and conducts physical surveys of premise security including equipment condition. Identifies and resolves security related problems.
- Develops preventative security programs for all company and departmental locations.
- Develops implements and manages security training.
- Conducts, supervises and prepares reports relating to internal investigations of and losses or violations of River Cree Resort and Casino regulations, policies and procedures.
- Meets with customers to expound on River Cree Resort and Casino’s security plans and procedures, as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned.
THE INDIVIDUAL
- Minimum five years experience in security managment orlaw enforcement. Gaming experience is preferred.
- Personal computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office is highly recommended.
