Compensation & Benefits Specialist
THE ROLE
- Ensure the guest is being provided with superior customer service.

- Provide exceptional customer service to all associates who enter the Human Resources Office and provide assistance to them as required.
- Attend regular scheduled HR departmental meetings and advise the team on any issues.
- Administer company sponsored benefits plans
- Review and maintain benefit policies
- Educate associates on the benefit plan
- Act as a primary contact to all associates with respect to inquiries relating to benefits
- Process STD & LTD claims in a timely manner
- Liaison with benefit providers, acting as a central point of contact to resolve issues, launch new policy information and related materials
- Process and update benefit providers of employee information changes
- Provide timely notification to internal contacts and benefit providers of changes in employee status
- Keep current on all legislative changes to ensure compliance
- Analyze data integrity and follow up with vendors on any system issues
- Provide recommendations to processes, policies and compensation related projects
- Participate in benefits surveys and analyze results
- Work closely with the Payroll Administrator to ensure a timely and accurate payroll
- Work closely with System Consultant pertaining to Ultipro
- Responsible for merit increases and salary administration in the Ultipro system
- System analyst for Ultipro, Ultipro Time and intersourcing programs.
- Responsible for the administration, support and securities of the system.
- Participate in the COS (Circle of Service) Committee
- Responsible for completing training audits to ensure compliance with AGLC regulations
- Assist with processing of ROEs
THE INDIVIDUAL
- Post secondary education related to compensation and benefits
- 1-3 years experience in a compensation and benefits role
- Experience with benefit providers and their systems
- Extensive experience with HRIS as well having experience with trouble shooting systems
- Individual must be analytical and detail oriented
- Must be able to work under pressure as meeting deadlines are imperative
- Proficient user of MS Office applications.
- Experience within the hospitality or gaming industry an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi task in a fast paced deadline driven environment
- Self-starter comfortable working both in a team environment and independently
