General Accountant

THE ROLE
The General Accountant, reporting to the Financial Controller, will be responsible for providing support to the finance department with a strong emphasis on accuracy and analysis.
JOB SUMMARY
- General ledger analysis and working papers.
- Coding and entry of Accounts Payable invoices
- Weekly bank reconciliations
- Preparation of monthly Accounts Receivable invoices
- Intercompany balances reconciliation
- Ticket Master Reconciliation
- Fixed Assets tracking and reconciliation
- Issuing of general ledger details to all directors semi-monthly
- Assist with the timely and accurate production of financial statements
- Back up position for issuing daily managerial report
- Maintain records in compliance with current legal requirements
- Attend any training that is required and approved by management
- Adhere to Resort health & safety policies at all times
- Any other duties as required by management
THE INDIVIDUAL
- Prior accounts payable and general ledger analysis experience is required
- Minimum of 2 years related work experience
- Experience within the hospitality or gaming industry an asset
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to multi task in a fast paced deadline driven environment
- Self-starter and comfortable working both in a team environment and independently
- Detail oriented and a keen learner
- Proficient use of MS office applications
- Strong excel skills preferred.
