THE ROLE

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the day to day administrative operation of the Guest Services department, including Gift Shop and Coat Check and will assist with the training and development of all Guest Services associates. As well, this position will assist with the mentoring, motivating and performance management of Guest Services Associates.

They will be responsible for assisting with inventory control and daily cash balancing. They will assist the GS Manager with the daily dealings of vendors as well as the weekly ordering and receiving.

This position is critical in developing loyalty with our patrons and associates.  They will promote and maintain the utmost integrity and highest caliber of guest service and respect to all guests and associates.

 

  • Responsible for guest satisfaction of Resort services and the Players Club card
  • Responsible for liaising with other department associates in guest satisfaction resolution
  • Assisting with staffing ie: Hiring, coaching, and performance counseling of associates
  • Managing of Guest Service Associates: including development and mentoring
  • Management of Players Club Center, Gift shop and coat check.
  • Overseeing and maintaining department tracking. ie: coupons, stat days, Players Club card info, staff vacations, etc.
  • Managing and overseeing of the gift shop
  • Ordering supplies and account for all department inventory
  • Responsible for assisting with all department scheduling.
  • Assisting in submitting payroll. That is to be submitted the evening of the work day or prior to 10:00am on the following day.
  • Responsible for the daily execution of operational goals and objectives, including daily stand-ups and shift meetings.
  • Assisting and ensuring all Associates are up to date on all promotions and helping ensure all promotional items are in place and up to date.
  • Any other duties as required.

 

THE INDIVIDUAL

  • High School diploma and a Hospitality or Marketing diploma an asset
  • Two to five years of applicable on the job experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications: word, excel, power point and outlook
  • Supervisory or Management training
  • Minimum two years experience in the gaming,  promotions, events, hospitality, or customer-service industry
  • Minimum two year experience in a supervisory role
